Hi,
I just got 4 new SimonK flashed ESC's
http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo=goods_details.dwt&goodsid=780&productname=
I just replaced the older turnigy plush 30A for these new ESC's.
When the quad had the non-SimonK ESC's it was working fine.
Now, I connected the new ones to the APM and the quad just flips.
My questions are:
Are simonK's supported for the APM?
Is there a special way to connect them?
Do I need to calibrate them somehow?
I tried to calibrate them with the turnigy programming card, but none of the lights turned on in the card.
I guess that is expected from these flashed ESC's.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
-Tono
Am I missing anything?

Follow my Youtube channel, you can see all my videos with SimonK reflashed ESC's and APM/VR-Brain/WKM/Mikrokopter, zero problems, only need better tuning.
Great to see you got it!
The second video I posted before was the wrong one also
Heres the first one from that post still

Yeah what he said :)
the programming card would only set options
you still need to perform the endpoint calibration for throttle travel relating to your RX for each esc
once that is done you should see much better results
make sure the motors spin in the correct direction. The firmware runs fine with the apm, I use simonk and wii-esc flashed escs.
The calibration cannbe done one by one by connecting esc to the rx, set throttle to max on your tx, then connect battery, wait for a beep (depends on firmware if it comes or not), pull throttle back to low, you hear e beep, esc is calibrated.
If the esc firmware has a bootloader installed, you can use an adapter cable to reprogram them via servo cable. If not, you need a ftdi to usb cable and read through the instructions on the simonk repository.
And, not every motor runs fine with the standard timings, to change that, you need one of the cables mentioned above.
