I have finally completed my winter project - a bench top CNC mill. After several hard landings (tongue planted firmly in cheek), I want to start making my own replacement landing gear and/or electronics platform.
I am currently flying a modded version of the 3DR frame, and wanted to know what the best (and most reasonably priced) material to use.

Can I see a picture of your benchtop CNC?
A pool noodle! :)
Nice soft landings and it has the added bonus of floating ;)
Fiberglass. Durable. Cheap. More flexible than carbon. Easily milled by CNC.
