Drone flying to non visible point
Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. It goes straight to some point, so I assume it's not mechanical problem. I attached the link to…

Yes, just click the icon in the MP and go through the setup process on the Configuration tab. No need to ever use the CLI.
Ramesh: that's no longer used. What version of the code are you using? I haven't seen that "ACM" prompt for a long time.
Jeff: I got your friend request and I shot you a reply back. You should see it in your inbox in the top right corner of this page.
Adam, I don't know how to PM, can you instruct me?
Jeff Swayne: I am in Milwaukee, WI. PM me and you can come out to see some flights!
OK where do I start. I am so-o-o excited to get started. I haven't felt like this in years. I am a total newbie, I do not want to post in the wrong places, what area should I be posting in? This is constantly on my mind, every where I go I see things to do with this, so much opportunity . I want to get into a quad or octo and do video. I will need to be able to record flight paths so it can be rerun at later dates, very good- stable loiter, I will do indoor and outdoor, night/day. Is anyone in Milwaukee, Wi. I do not have money so this is going to burn my skin slowly until I can get flying.
Any update on release of a rumored 3DR gimble for GoPro cameras for the AC2? Would love to get that rather than the HobbyKing version.
Ramesh: To my knowledge the reset button on the board is more of a "Reboot" button. In order to clear the data you have saved and return it to factory settings you need to use the CLI http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2CLI
Maybe another user can correct me if I am wrong, but I am 99% certain the "Reset" button is just a soft reboot.
Anyone here in the Western NY area?
Bradley: I'm not sure if that is necessary, but if it were me, I would start from scratch. You can use the "Terminal" tab in the mission planner to reset your board to factory settings. With your board attached, click the "Terminal" tab. Wait a few seconds until you see some stuff start to print to that black area, then press the enter key three times. Type "setup" (without the quotes) and press enter. Then type "reset" and press enter. It should ask you to enter the letter "Y" to confirm. Then reboot your board and it should be factory. Here is the wiki page: http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2CLI
A lot of times when I start from scratch with a reset, I also run the "erase" command for good measure. With a board reset you can at least rule out that your configuration is somehow corrupt or incorrect.
