Drone flying to non visible point
Hi there,I encountered a problem, while flying in auto mode, with approching to point that was not set by trajectory and is not visible after downloading mission from flight controller by Mission Planner. Does anybody encountered similar problem. The situation is that in the middle flight I stopped the UAV and uploaded new mission and after changing to auto mode it starts to fly in some direction. Using my APM 2.5 on a TBS Discovery w/ frsky 2.4 control, Immersion RC 600mw 5.8 and Fatshark Dominators, its taken a few months to get the bugs ironed out and flying (many crashes and about 3 vtx's), but it now flies nicely (though I'm a crappy pilot) thanks to this user group and many other fellow hobbyist. I am getting just over a klm of range with both video and control. Ok, I emailed 3d robotics, they tell me approximately 1 mile, line of site, with FlySky transmitter.

Yeah, I understand that, would like to have some idea of range. 1 mile, 2, any idea, even on just line of site.
@tomgates They are correct your mileage will vary depending on terrain.
FLYSKY TRANSMITTER
Anybody know what approximate range of the FlySky transmitter and receiver is with 3d robotics quad?
3d Robotics tells me the telemetry on board is good approximately a mile, more or less, given the terrain etc.

Hey everyone. Just got in a second quad power distribution board in today and want to turn my quad into quad-8 or Octoquad.
I purchsed a second pdb thinking I can use it to power the additional motors. As I look at the quad and octoquad motors setup I see that the quad motors 1,2 are diagnal for the quad but are clockwise on the Octoquad top motors and 5 trhu 8 for the bottom motors clockwise.
Long story short does anybody have advice on using 2 quad PDB's to make an Octoquad?
Finished my GoPro anti-vibration mount last night , waiting for weather to behave so I can test it out. I left the big plastic thumb screw in place until I decide what angle I like , my fat shark Predator V2 set will be here friday!!!!

What advantage is there to installing sonar to the APM Copter. Is it a worthwhile option?
