Hi All,
Before posting an issue or a problem in the ArduRover Discussion Forum, please check the wiki table of contents, review the firmware release notes in the subforum, and search that subforum for existing answers to your question. Help avoid duplicate threads by finding other members with the same issue and their solution.
When formulating your post, use a descriptive title such as "rover will not navigate to waypoints in the Auto mode" (not "HELP!" or "Problem").
Please include the following information to help diagnose your query:
- Describe the problem you are having. What is the expected verses the observed behavior?
- Provide hardware information such as the brand and version of your autopilot, GPS, radio, and compass, as well as any other pertinent details about your rover setup.
- What version of the APM: ArdurRover2 firmware version are you running?
- For navigation issues, provide your tlog and/or dataflash log. Click here for instructions on retrieving a dataflash log.

i think you need the latest version of the apm planner and Aerosim software to get this running.

I was reading where JL used Xplane to do sims on the software for Quad-rotors. What do we have to model rovers?
I have a Phoenix sim for 'helis, but I have no information on constructing a model of a rover (or even a 'heli) such that the sim could be used. Might even be apples and oranges, I don't know.

Interesting you should mention Batman. My partner (son!) suggested using a boat from a 007 movie as a body. I'm doing the research, I've already found some simple drawings; now to see if I can do it in Plexiglass! A lot of complex angles to figure out and cut.

Hi all,
Maybe we ought to consider the Bat-Tumbler design for a futuristic ArduRover: http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/06/dark-knight-rises-tumbler-de...

Chris,
I think you've already done that!

Alan. Many thanks! Please just PM your email address, linked to a Google account, and I'll add you to the wiki.
Chris,
I write test procedures and reports, as well as robot magazine articles; I'd like to help! I just received my APM2, so I'll be in start-up phase.

Just placed an order for APM2, uBlox GPS and 3DR Radio Kit
I'm in a different time zone so I'm a bit out of sync with the discussion.
I'm currently using a HMC6352 compass and had to move it 2 feet away from the motors, even at 8 inches away from the 2 * 11 amp motors it was useless. As I said previously the GPS navigation still has some glitches and I suspect this is due to the compass. Does the ArduRover code make use of the Gyro in its calculations?
@Michael,
Thanks for the "Nickle Tour"! I had read about your "Digital Bus" before, but not this blog. Looks like a lot of information to digest! I'm looking forward to studying it.
It'll be great to have you chime in on questions.
Thanks!

P.S. How do we put Ham Radio on these 'Bots?
