Checking Iris+Motor Performance

Does anyone know if there is a way to evaluate the performance of each individual motor through the logs which are created? It appears that I am getting more output from the rear motors than the front, particularly during take-off.

I have calibrated the ESC and the sticks, the trims are neutral, throttle curves are default, and I have even tried new props to insure that there are no damages which could impact the performance. I did have to reset the parameters through MP a short time ago, and I get the same results whether I load the Iris+ stock settings, or the Iris w/Tarot gimbal settings. It is possible that there are other throttle settings which may need to be tweaked, but I cannot figure which ones.

I'm currently running MP 1.3.24 and ArduCopter 3.2.1 Quad, with a FrSky TH9X.

  • This sounds like an accelerometer issue.

The accelerometer is what determines what is "level" - so if it was calibrated incorrectly then you will get the behaviour you describe.

Do an accelerometer calibration - very easy and quick to do - then report back.
