DG I use a standard OTG buying in any PC store with my 3dr radio and works well, we apreciate to watch your videos from that nice lake ;) ; for shure you can find a reseller there in US or try to find a clone instead, RC timer has a reseller in USA, H King too, I see that Maniac from Florida sells what looks original 3DR products http://www.maniacshobbycomplex.com/ that's my 2 cents.
Thanks. I may have to go that route for the weekend. Where are those bridges available?
Although I got things back up and working, this weekend I lost the OTG cable and of course can't find the backup, so went to 3DR to order 3 more plus another radio. Going to checkout I was met with this:
I get stuff delivered from 3DR normally in 3 days, but now I'm up a creek without a paddle. Does anyone know of a U.S. store that sells the cable and (1) radio? I really need this by the weekend.
On Saturday I went out to Port Sanillac Michigan (my home area) and flew my copters over Lake Huron. Wow, what a rush. It was tough finding a public launch site, but finally did. It was a scenic stop about 30-40 ft. above the water. The lake was still as glass, the weather was beautiful and I brought lots of batteries.
It was the most fun I've had flying in a long time, and the passerby folks thought it was the coolest thing to see "drones" flying out over the lake. Unfortunately I disconnected the FPV camera (which is having problems) so didn't any FPV views, but it still was a lot of fun.
Anyway, if anyone knows of a U.S. source for 3DR OTG radio cables and sells single radios I'd really appreciate if you let me know.
@DG,
I am using the Event 38 telemetry/Bluetooth bridge with Tower on my Samsung Tab 2 10.1 tablet and all I had to do in the settings was select Bluetooth in the Telemetry Connection Type and it linked right up.
I also have Andropilot on my tablet and it easily links to the Event 38 bridge with Bluetooth.
Regards,
TCIII
I unchecked the 3 boxes and it worked, so next I want to find which one caused the problem, but maybe it was just a glitch.
DG can you solve your issue?
@ Hernan
I think it depends on the script maybe?? Because my Taranis gives exactly the same detail as the mavlink. Such as bad heading or any other warning. It sure is handy.
There isn't a manual yet (or I couldn't find) perhaps when we have little time, we can post different functions that we find on discussion forum with the function title, thats allow others to know too about that function and perhaps, it's usefull when someone can write the manual to extract some information from there; It doesn't matter if it it how to start or advanced function, for newbies all is usefull :)
For those that have Tower working on their Androids, would you please post a picture of the radio settings? I recently reloaded the firmware on the radios and now the radios only work on PC/Laptop.
Thanks
I was used to MP with plane, but lately I've been trying Tower with copter and phone. It has really nice features and more refinement than DP. Voice is nice, even if having taranis for that, because it can be louder and there is more information in mavlink than taranis.
