Is it possible to use ArduPilot without a radio TX. Setup the auto takeoff, waypoints in APM and autoland. Simple idea will it work ?

Just thought it might be cheaper than buying a RC radio TX. As a radio ham I could use 400 Watts TX from the ground !!
