About Me:

Well... I used to fly model airplanes but I haven't done it since 199X... I ended up here because I heard about Arduino and got interested in the stuff that was being done with it. Since 2010 I have most of the parts needed to build an ArduCopter, but I still haven't sat down to build it (it's a shame). I have a business background but I am totally into technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and, well, anarchism. I maintain (sorta...) two blog: http://planoa.wordpress.com - focused on start-ups, entrepreneurship and business in general http://copirraite.wordpress.com - focused on DIY and hacking

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

"Manoel, acho uma boa ideia e imagino que a comunidade DIY Drones entenderia a necessidade de forums específicos para certos idiomas. Como você colocou, aqui tratamos de um assunto complexo e a barreira da língua pode dificultar o aprendizado.

"Russians are geniuses... it's impressive what they can do with so little capital.
One remarkable "space dispute", for me, that shows what I'm saying is how Americans and Russians tackled the same problem: writing in space.

While Americans spent…"

Legal ver um brazuca por aqui, ainda mais envolvido com um dos projetos.

"I was thinking about this the other day ad that imaged just reminded me of that thought... is anyone using UAVs for open source mapping? Images taken by them could replace images from satellites."

I bought the first parts of my quad. I got the 4 motors and ESCs from HobbyKing. Soon I'll get the gyros and accs.
One thing I've got to look into is the TX/RX... I have an "old" Futaba T6XA. Do you think it does the job?…"
