"This is no offense. But it's amazing you guys are able to program these auto piloting systems but seem awed by simple aileron modifications to a simple 3ch aircraft. That plane is underpowered, It'll fly but adding extra weight for the auto piloting…"

Jacob replied to Tom Sozzi's discussion transmission range for typical 72 mhz remote
"Wait i thought that 72mhz would have greater range than 2.4ghz well i dont know i read somewhere that the 2.4ghz Dx6's could only go like 1500ft or something so people with big models sometimes would lose radio reception im not sure...

no offense…"

"Oh yeah here is a pretty long video of my pusher(hornet) it uses a small 2500kv motor on 3c and uses a 5x3 prop. Nice little motor they're only like 9bucks at hobbycity, you can get even better motors that produce more for 9bucks, its a good site to…"

"Actually the pusher one its basically just a different fuse for the slow stick. You just make the fuse big enough to suite your needs, then calculate the total weight and make your wings as big as whatever wingloading you want, lighter is for slow…"

Jacob replied to Wyliest's discussion Cheap and eazy airframe to be made available to all
"Well here are some basic numbers:

Wingspan was 50in
Wing root and tip chord was 10 in so total wing area is 500sq in
Payload you can carry is like 3lbs.
these are weak wings(foam that is bent into an undercambered airfoil) so you need wing…"

Ahh if the stuff wasnt so expensive(im 15) i would go for it, ahh but for now simple RC planes that fly at…"

"An RC Slow Stick works good.. or a pusher plane. Nice and slow for good AV stuff

All you need is a 1/4 by 1/4 stick, some dollar general foam, or Fan Fold Foam from home depot and rc gear. Ive made several myself and have many aerial videos taken…"

I do most of my RC aircraft scratchbuilt, i have a 3oz stripped down camera i use for AV but i dont have any FPV equipment or GPS equipment. What exactly is UAV?Is an Rc plane, piloted by an rc flyer, with a camera on it a UAV?
