"I meant to say the SR1_Position param."

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"I managed to figure my issue out.  It was not making any attempt to track the quad because of the SR0_Position setting.  I changed it from a 2 to a 3 and now it is tracking pretty well.  "

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"I finally have all the issues worked out with my tracker except one, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas.  Basically the tracker does not track the copter in auto mode.  For example, the copter is due east but the tracker remains pointed…"

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"You guys are all very welcome!  I am still trying to get my tracker running reliably since I upgraded.  I decided to upgrade my GPS to the M8N because of large variances on both gps and compass readings.  I may also have to relocate it further from…"

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"Good call Artem.  It was definitely RF interference.  I did a very quick test by isolating the m8n gps with some tin foil.  The position accuracy improved immediately.  So I took the time to swap the gps to a old neo-6m I had laying around, and…"

"I have a bunch of lea 6 and neo 7 gps's here.  I can try some of them and see if they are any better."

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"If it was a rf noise issue, wouldn't the hdop be higher and sat count lower?"

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"Is there a procedure that could be followed where the GPS is used to see the map and then set tracker home without disconnecting the gps?  Or would the GPS have to be put on a switch of some sort?"

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"Here is one of my planes running the same GPS.  Higher hdop, lower sat count, much greater accuracy and no wandering."

Jeff replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"I am making some headway on getting things working, but one things has me stumped.  I am using the M8N gps, and have excellent hdop (1.3) and sat count (11) but the antenna tracker is wandering all over the place.  Here is a screenshot from MP.  The…"

Jeff commented on Gisela & Joe Noci's blog post Dipole style antenna for 433MHz
"As a followup question.  If you place a balun on the v-dipole as per your instructions, does it matter what direction the feeder cable runs out the back?  ie: do you need to keep it running straight for a certain distance?"

Jeff commented on Gisela & Joe Noci's blog post Dipole style antenna for 433MHz
"Hi Joe,
As usual the information you have provided is extremely helpful.  Thank you.
Would it be effective to use a V-dipole horizontally located on the wing of the plane? I know everyone is looking for a good horizontal solution, thus the turnstile…"
