About Me:

Not a beginner to robotics, but a beginner to RC aircraft. Working on both a RepRap to build custom plane parts and the idea of a single board IMU to drive or fly the first itteration. Took plastics engineering and aircraft dynamics back in college, and I do electronics on the side. Industrial motion control is what I do in real life.

I've been digging through the posts here and some research on my own to see what's available to a radar sensor experimenter.  Most of these would still need a backend baseband processor to work.  However, they all also would have similar…

Jerry Rodberg commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Using drones to monitor water use? Why?

"Low cost is $25000 ( http://homelandsecuritynewswire.com/single.php?id=8499 ). Remember, DIY drones is filled with technical people. This is about perfect for military use actually. The less complex the better when you're literally under the gun. It…"

"I'm hoping to hear good things about the IDG500. Combine that with an ISZ 500 (or any other gyro out there, really) and you won't need vertical boards any more."
