Martyn commented on Scott Berfield's blog post Adding External LED Indicators and a Piezo Beeper for Arm and GPS Status
"I can't find any mention of what a constant tone during flight means. I don't have the low battery warning enabled, could this be "ooh pretty satellites" aka GPS lock?"

Martyn replied to Martyn's discussion APM 2.5 (2.9.1) won't connect via USB with Rx connected
"OK, this is spooky. This morning I plugged in my uBlox GPS board AND patched the Planner from ..33 to ..35 and it worked with the Rx plugged in. I haven't revisited with the GPS removed, but I may try that to make sure I have a better idea which…"

Martyn replied to Randy's discussion ArduCopter 2.9 / 2.9.1 released
"Hmm, bit of an oddity with accel calibration. I'm setting up a new 2.5+ unit which arrived this morning, but when I finish running through the accel calibration routine, I end up with the APM showing a 10 degree forward pitch when sat level on the…"

Martyn commented on Pauli Seppinen's blog post Any application for these supercapacitors in UAV technology?
"Could be nice in a tiny tank circuit, but at less than 0.5 mAh they're not going to store much energy for anything more than bailing out small lipos in phones when the circuitry requires a surge of current. Cute packages though and low ESR."

Martyn commented on Sandro Benigno's blog post MinimOSD in DIYDrones Store!
"Can't wait to get this working, I have one on order from Martin in th UK. I like the idea of splitting the power rails to isolate the video from servo noise, but I'm puzzled about what setups this will be applicable to, given the 12V cooling…"

Martyn replied to Pat's discussion GoPro "jello"
"Hi Pat,
Welcome to the wobbly world of the rolling shutter. I use a HD Hero on my Caterham which subjects it to plenty of jello-inducing vibration. I find that getting the mount as rigid as possible, then using 60fps 720p rather than the 30fps modes…"
