Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
Been flying RC planes for 10 years now, decided to move onto quadcopters in 2011 and have since built 25 copters of various sizes using various flight controllers. I build from the ground up slowly making improvements here and there with each new build. Started with FPV in 2012. Preferred frequency is 5.8 since it doesn't clash with 2.4 radio link. Luckily I've had few mishaps of which all were pilot error. I believe that spending time on the build paying attention to solder joints and other details are key to a smooth flying machine. In 2015, completed my RPL, (remote pilots license) in Joburg, with the purpose of going commercial.
