I'm trying to get hold of some 300mm DF13 connectors for my GPS module - the ones that came supplied are too short for the installation and my soldering skills aren't up to joining a few together.  Can anyone recommend a possible supplier, ideally…

Hi all,Would there be any issues with using double sided tape to fix my ESCs to the carbon fibre plate of my copter frame?Think it's unlikely to be an issue but wanted to avoid learning the hard way. Many thanks,

"My next project is a 700 size spider quad, toying with the idea of a high voltage system for better flight times. I have the following components in mind:
- 3DR Pixhawk with power module
- TBS 30A OPTO ESCs
- Multistar Elite 3508 274kv motors
- 4S…"

"This thread has me a little concerned - I'm thinking the current combination for my next quad build:
- 700 size spider quad
- Multistar Elite 3508 274 kv motors (x4 obviously)
- 13x4 CF props
- TBS 30A OPTO ESCs running SimonK
- 3DR Pixhawk with…"

"The motors (Multistar 2213) respond, but spool up as if they're in slow motion and only to what seems about 1/4 power at max throttle. Calibration is OK, I'll try your servo tester idea - appreciate the suggestion. ps - only momentary defeat, won't…"

"Hi Phil,
I've just completed a spider quad build using Pixhawk and TBS bulletproof ESCs (with SimonK) and seem to be having an issue with the motors not fully spooling up - at full throttle its not even close to lifting off.
On reading your thread…"

Is there consensus on the best ground station platform? I'm a Mac user (and have downloaded APM2 at home) but hear lots that Windows using Mission Planner is superior.I need a new laptop for 'work' - should I go windows or stick to Mac?
