"I tried the cotton on PixHawk and the altitude was much stable (But there was no wind).

I opened the PixHawk and I didn't see any foam on barometers...

I will try cotton and tell you if it fixes the problem.

Here is the sequence I use do override remote control :

-> Heartbeat - To introduce myself as a ground station ;
-> Arm Command
-> Wait a few seconds
-> Override RC Commands

As a Ground station, I use the sys_id 253.

Actually, I am not using MAVProxy to override RC Channels. I am using a dedicated cpp program.

The trick is to use the #76 mavlink command with the MAV_CMD field set to the arm/disarm command (400).

Then send the MAVLink command to your QUAD, using the correct target system / target component.
