Winfried Rijssenbeek replied to Treggon Owens's discussion Mission Planner and high precision waypoints
"We are using a Rover Base for the accuracy RTK GPS, but the system is not always easy. Although the system now has accurate positioning, the way points accuracy is an issue. The radius cannot be set below one meter (although somehow I got it work to…"

Winfried Rijssenbeek replied to Yan Ma's discussion Visual Tracking Gimbal Control
"Dear Yan,
interesting experiment and seems to work. your approach is interesting too. Can we have a conversation soon. Consider this also useful for our project. Also based on reversed use systems. Best Winfriedrijssenbeek@gmail.com "

Dear All,we are working on a serious project and aim to have triple redundancy in the control; one of the ways of doing this is purchasing a high end system. Our imagination is however whether it would be possible to use eg 4 pixhawks that can be…

"We have done all studies and tests before we did the craft. Indeed it performs as anticipated. We have ca 6.7 kWh of battery capacity to lift it 10 min. We need a range extender: now there are many options: ideal would be fuelcel, but not sufficient…"

"Flight time with batteries in 12 motors config is estmated at 10  min, if we choose lower disk loading it can be 15 to 17 min. So definitively need a range extender. We are working on it!"

Winfried Rijssenbeek commented on Winfried Rijssenbeek's blog post The Humming Man Project Progress
"Dear Frederic, the  advantage is that it is more compact 3 by 4 m, more easy to control and handle and lower cost if electric storage becomes better. Completely programmable. Indeed propulsion efficiency is lower as compared to a single rotor, and…"
