Registration for Teachers?

We got a grant and bought a Solo for the classroom.  I need to get this thing registered with the FAA so that students can fly it.  After visiting several websites I'm unsure about how to do this.

Does the drone need registered and anyone can fly it?

ArduPhantom 2 Vision+

A coworker gave me an old phantom 2 vision+ that wasn't working anymore and I couldn't help myself.  It's made almost entirely from my spare parts bin and I can say it flies well and doesn't look too bad.
