As part of my job, I was able to participate in a project where we installed an kayak station at a remote glacier lake in Southeast Alaska. We moved the kayaks from my ship to shore, then flew them 5 miles up stream via an MD-500 helicopter and then flew back. Totally awesome, and helped cement my desire to become a helicopter pilot.
