    Hello Mike,

I am simply uses a Y like connection, the two ailerons and the rudder are electrically connected in parallel on channel 1 of the ArduPilot. This gives a good mixing during the turn as you may notice in the video of the flight.

The video camera is powered separately with a 2S1P 800 mA Lipo battery fixed with a velcro under the left wing.
With this weight I have seen no significant change in the performance of my glider compared to the original version of Multiplex. I am able to do thermal soaring without problem...

    Regards,
    Jean-Louis
  • So ardupilot uses mixing for aileron and rudder? Do you find they are mixed well enough to maintain coordinated turns?

How do you power the video system? Separate battery? How is the performance of the plane with all that weight? That's been the biggest worry during the planning for my project.

The Blue dot between the Aileron 1, Aileron 2 and the rudder servos is simply a Y connection.
