Here is my finished first prototype of my hybrid powertrain.
The only components missing from the image are the ESC/motor at the very bottom, the small hydrogen tank at the top and the wifi dongle & battery pack for the raspberry pi (which will be obsolete soon anyway by means of a 5v regulator).
In summary, the battery provides the high power needed at take-off, and the fuel cell provides the power for cruise & recharges the battery.
