This photo shows a tested, and working, hybrid power system for small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
A commercial off the shelf Horizon H-100 Hydrogen Fuel Cell (100W) is being controlled by a Raspberry Pi using PiFace and is in parallel hybrid with a standard LiPo battery.
The FC has the capacity to recharge the LiPo when the power demand is lower than 100W (eg in cruise and decent).
