  • Hi Brandon. I stopped this due to other priorities. Actually I can't tell anything more because I kept only the wings. Fuselage and tail where wrecked or recycled.

  • Can you give us some rough dimensions?  Like wingspan, chord, tailboom (length & distance between booms) fuselage(length & cross section)  Thanks!

Also, have you made any more progress?  I would love to see some pictures of the finished product.

  • I have only early Google SketchUp drawings, but they're not the actual design (bigger wing span and no v-tail). I changed a lit during the build phase. Basically I just followed the usual formulas using a clark-y profile. Some Ideas are taken from a older israeli drone that is used actually by the swiss army as well. I used to build a lot of balsa planes in the 80's so I guess it will fly. When finished I will redraw the plans. I still have concerns about the airbrakes and the flaps mechanism (fowler type) that may be too weak.
  • Any chance I could get a look at your CAD files for this frame? I am designing something similar, however.. I have never designed, and built a full plane before =/
