I use a flip mino HD for my video as well. I found I had to replace the lens to get a wider view. This alone helped with the shaky video.
The Co-pilot can help smooth out the big dips and stalls from too much stick input, but I think it takes a lot of the fun out of flying. I ended up making my own with Ardupilot and custom code to get a better response and I love flying it.
Isobot - thanks for the comment. Sometimes I will put a neutral density filter on the Flip and it really helps to even things out. I pull the mp4 video into quicktime pro and kick out a still image and it works pretty well. As I had mentioned since the Flip does not have any stabilization we are trying to get things smoothed out with a fma co-pilot.
