Shadow 200 Pics from Oshkosh Today

Some pics I took of a Shadow 200 at Oshkosh AirVenture today. Pilot said most of the $800,000.00 dollar cost is in the thermal imaging camera and electronics. If the aircraft is unresponsive or out of control, they deploy a parachute that brings it to the ground upside down so as to not damage the camera.

    It's there so that other aircrafts, mainly helicopters can see the Shadow with IR Goggle of course - you know, air space separation, etc...

    Can you please explain its purpose in more detail? It is a very cool looking device.

    It's an IR LED stobe for night flight into hostile areas.
