30-06 cheap remington 710 but I love it. The stock BOT wings will not lift a pod that size nor should anyone try with stock glider or even electric glider wings, The wings go on the bench and every square inch of every other rib is covered with CF Tape (not the cloth but the rigid stuff) 2 CF rods run just in front and just behind the main spar.
This photo is just to show packing size. I never even finished this build as it was sold to someone on RCG who will do a much better finishing job then I do. I hate showing my wings after I re-Cover them because I am horrible at it. Its the single most annoying aspect of building and I'd pay someone to do it if I could afford too.
as flimsy and annorexic as the bot wings look (and they have failed on e conversions) I thought they felt pretty solid. Still these things can't be flown like hotliners. Its not an F5J nor is it meant to be acrobatic in any way. Its build for long range FPV. I'm using Scherrer's LR UHF 5w booster, 500Mw 900Mhz with 14dbi yagi & 8 dbi Patch. My problem before switching to glider style wings was amp hrs. I had a solid Electro Stick I loved to fly FPV with but by the time I got her up, trimmed and on her way, 2.5 miles out I had to turn around to make sure I had enough juice to get back.
