  • While not the wood wing they are making 1900 replacement EPO wings for the skywalker.

    Here's the quote from RCGroups:

    Skywalker 1900 EPO version is exclusive sold in www.bevrc.com, so if you buy it on other fake sites, you won't get any gurranty. http://www.bevrc.com/skywalker-1900mm-wings-for-any-version-of-skyw..., the 1900 wings are in stock, fit any version of skywalker 168, it's easy to have 2 planes if yo ualrady have a skywalker 168.

  • I went out to FPVFlying and asked if we would be able to purchase just the wing and here's the reply:

    "Hi, my friend
    Thank you for your inquiry. I am sorry that we did not sell the wooden wing separately from the skywalker. We only sell them in whole kit!
    Best Regards
    Rose"

    @Hein

    It means that the wing loading is reduced and you can slow the plane down without loosing lift = better quality images due to less motion and longer endurance. The penalty is that you may have more roll and depending on the construction more weight but all in all this wing would be a really good addition to a Skywalker!

    What would be the advantage of this over the 1900mm EPO wing?

    @Hooks

    Any chance you will just sell the wing section?

    Stone1295: Yes

  • Considering it is an ARF, I suspect it is 'old school' as Stone1295 queries.

    The price is not bad really. By 'flaps' I wonder if they meant ailerons?

    I am not a fan of non aerodynamic stuff hanging out in the breeze on fixed wing aircraft - DRAG.

    Why go to all the trouble of making a sleek bird? I understand the compulsion to do it but the engineer in me cringes at it.

    Integrating a ball-eye camera underneath or in the nose... (also easier said than done).

    Looks like about 5 planes on the market though I do did 'old school' builds.

    Thanks for the post Hooks!

  • This says "wood wing" but does that mean that this is a built up wing made from balsa and then covered in Monokote or similar?
