Hi Robert Bouwens,
Yes, you could use a 5VDC BEC for powering AUAV3.
Best regards

Well a BMP180 (see: http://arsovtech.com/?page_id=1340) is technically nothing more than a BMP085 with a smaller footprint. The Bosch brochures suggest that the BMP180 is the better part on the first glance but if you dig a little deeper (datasheets) you will find that they are identical in performance. It absolutely beyond anyones understanding why not a MS5611 is used (besides that the BMP is MUCH cheaper).
Even the best software can not compensate for - not so good - sensor data (here: baro/pressure readings). That FC may be reasonable for planes but using those parts for copters seems to be way out of date. You will get some decent althold on copters with BMP180/085 (and I don't mean the absolute crap BMP handling in Arducopter, besides the also crappy sonar code) but that can never rival Naza like althold performed by MS5611.
SInce I am mainly flying copters I wouldn't buy that, even if they sell it for 1$ because it would be just lying around.
I think this FC may be a steal for planes.
Sorry, but that's my opinion.
Cheers
Rob
will it work with a 'normal' 5 volt bec - thus without acsp1?
How does this compare with APM ?
Hi Nick !
Thanks for the clarification.
Hi Rana,
No, the special price is just for the AUAV3.
Hi Morli !
Yeah its ACSP1
