If you're not looking for long range flight, you might consider using the new circular polarized cloverleaf and skew planar wheel antennas they talk about on RCG. They are omnidirectional antennas but are excellent at rejecting multi-path effects and seem to work well for people, nullifying the need for diversity receivers for most anything but long range video. Some people have made it 4-5km alone with these antennas so it's worth looking in to.
  • You use a short range omni antenna on on rx and a directional patch on the other. Only one tx.
  • nice,

would it be used with one transmitter onboard and 2 identical receivers on ground ?

why would one of the receivers get better signal when they are near each other at the same place ?

or should it be used with two pair of TX/RX at different frequencies - then i can understand...
