DJI officially released 2.4G Bluetooth Datalink & iPAD Ground Station. Nice simple interface, seems very intuitive. Can't wait to see Droid Planner 2.0 :)
Bill,
I have not had any luck getting the WiFly bridge to operate correctly. You attempted to work it out with me via skype but with little luck. I hope that when your final release comes out you include a setup wizard to help in setting up the parameters.
Great work though and I look forward to the final release...
I been using this as link http://www.communistech.com/blog/support/ which is WiFi to 915MHz/433MHz bridge which is great. You can configure it as UDP or TCP. And it requires no intervention from Apple for approval. I'm using it also with APM Planner 2.0 as it allows connection to a drone without serial ports and associated drivers (FTDI), which can be problematic when you are debugging as the serial drivers can lock up.

Where is Droid Planner 2.0?
@Joseph: We are working out the last details.
When will DroidPlanner ver. 2.0 be available to download? I am looking forward to testing it out.

I think they have a Bluetooth to Telemetry link, so Bluetooth is only up to "real" radio/antenna which has the real range.
Apple bluetooth can control quadcopter BVR but when i go 15 feet away with my bluetooth handsfree it stops working ... mah
odd at least
Why not call it beyond interplanetary range? Where do the reality of bluetooth range & marketing intersect?
I'd feel much more comfortable having DroidPlanner on my devices than anything from DJI.
