Graupner HoTT v4 telemetry protocol for ArduPilot

GPSProfile.JPG?width=300Graupner is a popular vendor of RC equipment here in Europe. I thought it would be great if we could use they telemetry protocol for ArduPilot. And here it is, HoTT v4 for use in ArduPilot for everyone. It's still fresh code and it's tested with ArduCopter v2.7 on APM2 only, but it works fine since few weeks. There are many possibilities to use HoTT in ArduPilot project, at least for people with HoTT RC equipment :)

    Hi Adam, 

    there have been some code changes that will prevent your code to compile with 2.8.1 and newer. 

    Could you please please please have a look at it when you get a chance and maybe share a new compiled version that we all can use?

    We are using exclusively Graupner's and it would be so sweet to have this working. 
    Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

    I just got response from Graupner regarding "RSSI" on HoTT:

    RX dBm is already outputed.

    Hi, Graupner does take feedback, I've mailed this thread to h.runknagel@.... (the company)  Feel free to email ehoever is your contact, and I am pretty sure they will add this feature.

    @gregmaan: if you mean RSSI for the HoTT receiver, the problem is that there is no receiver data on the telemetry bus/connector. The receiver data is send directly to the transmitter from the receiver without presenting this info on the telemetry bus. So there is no directly access to this info on the receiver side.

    I would like to use the Hott protocol to add RSSI to the minim osd for arduplane. Did someone do this?

    Hi Adam, i'll just do that. As I not so experienced in compiling the Arducopter code I want to ensure I'm not making any mistake during the complilation proces. So what I first want to do is to make a test compilation and thereafter make a bit/byte compare between the binary (hex) code produced by me and the official version. Could you provide the location (link) where i could download the 2.7.2 and -.3 binary (hex) code. Regards michel
