The very low internal resistance of the Batteries (typically 8 – 10 milliohms) give huge benefits such as:
- Far longer battery lifetimes with upwards of 1000+ cycles expected for a battery pack.
- Lower heat build-up during the discharge cycle.
- Faster cell recovery.
- Lower voltage drop under loads, which equates directly to a much higher RPM per volt from your electric motor.
- More available power for the battery pack.
- Ability to charge at higher charge rates (It is important to allow the battery to cool below 25c before charging commences).
- Suitable for all applications and especially so for use in high current applications.

Hey, I'm way in favor of better batteries. My Laptop batteries are useless after 1 hour or 1 year (which ever comes first). So here's to new ideas.
Yes, the Chinese do not have the same legal system for fraud, and yes, Chinese imports are statistically more likely to be "other than advertised" (See Alibaba today).
That said, I've also had many flights on Hobby King equipment, so who knows - it's a mixed bag. But thanks for the heads up on both the nano's and a new chemistry. May a thousands flowers bloom.
I know almost nothing about these new LiTi packs, but I can say from first hand experience of using the Nanotech's, that you can in fact charger them at the stated 5c rating with no issue. I admit, i was a little hesitant at first, so I watched carefully with extinguisher by the ready, and have had no issue yet with the Nanotech packs.
So to your point about cars using them, why do many of the gas/electric - diesel/electric cars STILL use lead acid batteries instead of Li Ion? lead acids are about as archaic as can be in the battery world, yet..... still in use. I am sure there is another underlying issue as to why these LiTi, or even the Nanotech technology is not on the forefront of full size hybrid car tech.
Regardless, who gives a crap if they are packaged as Nanotech, or LiTi's, they are batteries, if it's a patent dispute, well, thats one thing, if this is a piss and moan about their actual charging and output spec's...... really? you have nothing better to do than argue about batteries?

And I dont buy the first thing that I see on a web banner claiming a "nanosame" tech scaming people just to sell more of the same.... sorry if that was your case with the nanos.
For me this is the real deal and I will do the same to test them, Nanotech vs. Li Ti that will be a future blog post.

Only Toshiba and Altairnano produce Li Ti for Laptops and electric vehicles respectively.
If Turniny Nanotech batteries have the same specs as they claim... why their batteries are no being used for other purposes? why the only "nanotech' distributor is HobbyKing lol! ?! now with hobbyking being mentioned this have a lot of sense! Copy & Sell...Copy & Sell..Copy & Sell loL!!

Either way I guess at some point in the future I'll have to get a nano and one of these to see which one holds up better. But that seems like a project for when I'm not slammed with HW.
YEs TD , but the 'nanotech' are just the same dog (lipos) with another name. They claim exactly the same as the Li Ti ! but try to charge them over 1C and you will get your 4th of July! lol! Actually the nanothech from turnigy came out to the market when this technology was being released... No surprise if they copy the LiTi claims just to sell more of the same...

My question is... This technology is being use since 2008. Why only 1 distributor for the R/C purposes ?! Since this are safer cells I think it should be the main selling battery for R/C electric purposes.
