If you update to the latest Mission Planner (1.05) you'll see a cool new feature Michael Oborne has just added: integrated OSD video! Just select your video input device from your aircraft's camera feed from the Configuration screen (Planner tab) and it will replace the background of the artificial horizon on the GCS, turning it into a heads-up display instead, as shown in the left window above.
Pretty cool, huh? It's a virtual OSD!

Yellow, but in OSD screen resolution looks like 320x240,
with Ulead Videostudio I can get 640x480, near "native" NTC/PAL TV resolution.
OSD video resolution looks quite low with EasyCap + GoPro,
Is there some setting to tune it?
hi everyone, is anyone here using one way telemetry comunication (downlink @ 38,4Kbps), instead of having bidirectional comunication ? anything in particular to look for within the AP comunication protocol ?

@ Michael OSD Looks great!!! Can't wait to use it. Although I am still having a problem with the color of the OSD, it changes back to white on restarts.
New topics:
1.) What about adding the "A,B,C" & PPM lights to the MP. PPM light doesn't need to blink, just on or off to verify RC radio is connected.
2.) What about Auto hide for the TaskBar on top. This would free up more screen space for the map and video / horizon window.
3.) Is the joystick ready for testing?
Juampa, do you have anyway to verify the offset? it might be a google problem, i know imagery in my are is out buy a fair bit, you can even see where it jumps.
Russell - as or 1.0.13 most of the settings are saved between restarts. also text outlining has been done as well.
