Congrats to John, Alex, and Sam!!! A Summer internship with 3DR will be extremely beneficial to a career in robotics and great to put on their resumes :)

Work hard but most of all have fun this summer fellas! :) The beautiful thing about this field of study is that someday you can get paid to do something you love and it will never feel like you worked a day in your life.

These guys ate all the peanut-butter filled pretzels within the first two hours of the day :-/

I'm going to have to start stashing snacks around the office like a squirrel.

Sam, I don't know how they got here, honestly.

OK, I'm thinking futureistically, I'm 14 now, and I take it 16 is the age requirement... but this is definitely the sort of thing that I would love to spend my summer doing!!!

I'm only about 2 hours from Berkly, so I can come visit some time....

So jealous!!!!!! how old are they?

Is that a Shapoko next to that Makerbot? Those guys are quite lucky to have access to that kind of equipment all summer and working with the 3DR team, talk about a summer internship!

Yes, that's a Shapeoko. But it pales next to the million-dollar Mori Seiki CNCs in the next office. By the end of the summer, we'll have them on those:

John, Alex and Sam did the amazing Viper full-size flight simulator, which pretty much earned them lifetime awesomeness points. I'm not saying that sort of epic Making is necessary for a 3DR internship, but it sure doesn't hurt.

Who is going to send them to stores for a long wait?
