I try reestarting Tower before check offline maps and nothing happens, but I uncheck offline maps without wi-fi and now map re-appears :O ; it's like an issue with the tile, when I have wi-fi I'm going to test if it is working reverse.
Recently I try as described, I fly with wifi, all ok, then I check offline maps and the map dissapears, something change in the code?
Another thing that I couldn't find is Take off, someone know if exist anymore?
Ah, yess, I have the same problem at the field, GSM isn't good to upload maps, If you wait a lot, sometimes do but it's no shure, what I do Is to upload the area were I'm going to fly when I have wifi them check offline maps and fly with that.
@Cala, Yes I have the offline maps unchecked. Seems to work only when I'm in wi-fi range. In the field it doeasn't seem to like loading the maps with GPS enabled and GSM on the phone. Might be something to do with the network.
That's why I would really like to get Tower to load the maps tiles that I have already saved onto my G Tab 3!
Up the moment no problem here, then I check again, do you have your offline maps tile uncheked?
@Richard I´m using apm 2.6 with stock frsky telemetry on taranis, not mavlink, so only voltage and rssi. Hoping to get hands on a pixhawk soon!
These are the parameters that have my radio and work n my ACER tablet.
Great, good luck
There are no micro-to-micro usb cables to be found in my area. No adapters, nothing. Radio Shack ain't what it used to be. I want the short one that comes with the radios as I use it for the phone (in my shirt pocket) mainly for audible information and pre-flight, and so I can make parameter changes if necessary.
I found a place that has them and can deliver by Friday. Whew.
