Cruise speed
Hi,I want to adjust cruise speed. At default settings I have a ground speed of about 42km/h (without airspeed sensor), and I think the optimal speed should be lower. In the mission planner I have value "Cruise speed", default 12m/s. I updated it to 9.5, but don't see any change in actual cruise speed. How to set cruise speed? Are these different settings with RTL speed? For RTL I prefer keep it as is - less efficient, but more reliable. Is it possible to adjust cruise speed during flight, providing…

Can someone tell me the procedure to enable channels 5-8 out of the APM? I am not up on codeing as I should be, but am willing to figure it out. My transmitter is sending channels 5-8 to the APM, but no output to the servos from the AOM. I would like to use these channels for flaps and camera control.
Thanks
Hello.
I will contribute with a translation in Spanish.
Please any Dec Team can guide me for make this??
Thanks.
I am currently flying an APM that is carved open, beaten, twisted, crushed and has as many add-ons as I can fit. While I continue to develop my parts, sensors and such I am also attempting to get a quad built (for faster testing really) and a custom airframe that will hold not just the normal home UAV things but something a lot more special.
I'm enthusiastic builder and programmer but my flying sucks which is why I like APM :D
I have integrated Remzibi OSD, Camera Stabilization & Tracking, and added uBlox DIFF_GPS and DOP to library, I have flown original AP with ArduIMU 1.5 (My 1.0 unit upgraded to 2.0 with AirSpeed Sensor & Mag Compass in a StevensAero SportStick and a Stryker II.
I have several platforms in progress for APM 2.
SkyWalker stretched to 100", The New HK AS-21 with popup motor, 2, Piper L-4 Grasshoppers a 1830mm with Monster Power 32 motor and 2300mm version with Tacon 160 motor (both are very big inside the 2300 version is really huge, could carry a WiFi repeater with ease.
I update each official; release with all my changes, now current with APM 2.12
I think it is ready for flight test as I have run it many hours on the bench, last test was 200.000 data points for 48 hrs with no issues.
I have yet to actually fly my APM in one of my TSIIs and in my Maja. I have several Ardupilots that I plan to fly in my EZ*s also. The weather here in North TX has not be cooperating with me, at least when I am at home and not at work. However, I have learned a lot about what to do and what not to do by visiting the Forum every day and taking note of useful informantion.
