Tonight i wired up my 1.1 3dr minimosd. I powered one side via the apm and the other side via the video power as documented. I only get a black screen. There appear to be many people with this issue. Tomorrow i am going to solder the two jumpers and only power via the apm. Am i waisting my time or is the board now fried?
Where in the documentation does it say you MUST power the entire board using the apm as many people seem to suggest?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

I just starting having the same problem. The only thing new, is that upgraded to the latest Arducopter (as of Oct. 10, 2014) on my APM 2.6. If I bypass the minumOSD everything works fine. I have had issues in the past with either the osd displaying or the video only displaying, but that seemed to fix itself when I installed the MinimOSD-Extra.
I have tried these settings (nothing worked):

It became a problem after I updated my APM 2.5 with the latest firmware (arducopter v. 3.2)
I understand the only solution is updating the minimosd to minimosd-ekstra. What about the parameters in MP ?
