Hi,
I am building a quad with a pixhawk fc. Pixhawk does not support normal PWM receiver inputs. Therefore I need to get a PPMsum compatible FrSky receiver.
The last X8R frsky receiver does not support PPMsum.
So my question: which frsky 8 ch receiver having CPPM (PPMSum) can I use ?
Thx

I love what yoh can do with frsky!
Thx all, i confirm it works connecting X8R Sbus port to Pixhawk RC in.
Works fine for me too. No problems.
Next - first flight :-)
The problem is the "Quick Start Guide" which comes with the PixHawk clearly shows you should connect the S.BUS receiver to the SB connection. This is wrong. As stated above, it needs to be connected to the RC port. It works fine there for me.
Hugues,
I am also building a 3DR Quad with a new Pixhawk. I am using the FrSky X8R receiver. I have the SBus port from the reciever connected to the RC input of the Pixhawk. Have finished configuration and motor tests. RC inputs from my Taranis transmitter appear to be working properly. Maiden flight as soon as weather permits.
Good luck
Doesn't the Pixhawk support S.Bus as well as PPM? In that case, you could just use an X8R receiver.
If you really do need PPM, how about an X8R with a FrSky SBUS to CPPM Converter?
I have the D8R-II Plus flashed with new firmware outputting cppm. If you want a nice small light reciever the 4 channel ones are the way to go. With the cppm firmware they output 8 channels.

you will need this cable: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__16665__FrSky_USB_Cable.html
to update to the latest firmware if you want to use cppm comprehendable by APM/pixhawk
