About Me:

Brazil Aircrafts is a company that manufactures Aerial Targets since 90’s. Since the creation of Antiaircraft Artillery Unit in 1950, there was a need for targets for the training of operators of aircraft guns. Initially, these targets were provided by the FAB, (Brazilian Air Force). Aircrafts at the time was the B25 that towed a target called "Windsock". Over the years these aircraft went out of service thereby Units of Antiaircraft, been without aerial targets for your training. In the 1970s, more precisely in 1972, was used a target provided by the Navy of Brazil. It was the KD2R5, manufactured by Nortrop and operated by specialized personnel of the Navy itself. The shot was run directly on the drone until the year 1974. As early as 1975 the School of Coast Artillery and Antiaircraft - EsSACosAAé - acquired the Nortrop target and began to provide 'the flak units in Brazil. For saving targets, the school adapted a system towed by Drone KD2R5. This type of support to the units in exercises lasted until 1982, when it was not possible to provide this system. In 1983 Maj. Gen. Clovis BORGES DE AZAMBUJA - Cmt of the 3rd MRI in Porto Alegre, who had commanded the 3rd GAAAé of Caxias do Sul in 1967 and 1968, was interested to see if some type of radio-controlled model airplane could meets the needs of the training system of the Antiaircraft Artillery. Since this year the Delta model is used to carry out anti-aircraft gunnery exercises until the present day and the Brazil Aircrafts since 1996 has produced Aerial Targets for the Brazilian Army. Our current goal today is to develop diferent types of aerial target for diferents demands as well required for the Brazilian Defense and also SR UAV’s for civilian and military.
