"If I plug my air side modem in via FTDI and ground via USB, then connect a putty serial session between them, whatever I type on ground side is displayed on air side and vice versa. Basic communication seems to be working. "
Hi GuysI've got a 900mhz 3dr set. My APM2 is powered via a UBEC.Within the mission planner, I can get settings from both air and ground side and my settings appear identical.I have upgraded firmware (was not sure if my pair had most recent firmware)…

The wiki says you only need to set sr3_extra_1 to be 5.
You also need to set some of the other sr3_ (eg. sr3_position) or you don't get GPS data.
This is in the wiki for the minimosd-extra but not for the arducam-osd

When testing it, I noticed my GPS fix was slower than I'd expect. Moved APM2 (and GPS, onboard) to a uBec.
GPS fix is < 1 min now.
On OSD, it reports no fix though.
