"Try (carefully) holding the y6 above your head (maybe wear gloves and a long sleeve coat if you're clumsy like me) and test. Could be you need to calibrate escs, accelerometer, or compass).you might need to be less tentative on your throttle during…"

Justin Hardin replied to Frank Giuffrida's discussion Iris+ Arrives
"I just placed my order for the Iris+.
I've owned, flown, crashed, repaired, and re-flown the Traxxis QR1 (toy), the original 3dr hexa-A, the 2014 3dr Y6B, and the Iris. My buddy flys a DJI phantom with me almost every friday.

Justin Hardin replied to Get Lucky's discussion Custom config with the 3DR Y6 frame? in Arducopter Y6 Owners
"The motor mount holes are 16mm apart on the aluminum arm based 3dr multi rotors. I'm running tiger mt2216 motors with Afro slims. I did have to drill an additional hole in the aluminum arms to allow for the shaft on the tigers which protrudes a bit…"

My Y6 arms, but when I then throttle up, I get nadda from the ESCs/motors.
*sigh* - this is the SECOND set of 6 speed controllers I fried. First time was me just being stupid, wiring…"

Justin Hardin replied to Bill Babcock's discussion 3DR radio and Samsung Galaxy Tablet

When I tried with my Galaxy Tab 4 7" I had NOT enabled "developer options". I have  enabled it on the Galaxy Tab 4 8" as I'm running the latest development…"

Justin Hardin replied to Bill Babcock's discussion 3DR radio and Samsung Galaxy Tablet
"I did EXACTLY the same thing.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7" and the darn thing doesn't have an internal USB host adapter/chip. So... the USB port on that model is really only good for charging.

I returned the 7" and purchased the Samsung…"

Justin Hardin replied to luis gonzalez's discussion better landing gear for arducopter from 3dr
"Yep, same happened to me... The fiberglass is relatively brittle but it's better to break that than the center frame.

My fix for now was to buy 1" wide aluminum stock from Lowes/Home depot (thinnest they had... 1/8" I think), drill matching holes…"
