Marcus Wright commented on Andrew Tridgell's blog post CanberraUAV Outback Challenge 2016 Debrief
"It would be nice to have tradheli documented as well as copter and plane. Rob made some videos that were a good start. Right now it seems like black magic."

Marcus Wright replied to Salad Dodger's discussion Pixhawk in a Cessna 172 (old fashioned manned aircraft)
"You can push a button to start the acquisition or have it start at a predefined GPS point.  Simple for an Arduino.  But I can sort of understand you are looking at a complete flight controller to do this.  "

"I know a guy that uses an Arduio and gps to make a Chdk hacked camera fire as he desires.
I helped him test it firing every 5 m traveled in the x direction."

Marcus Wright replied to Edgar Scott's discussion Sub 250 Gram Pixracer Build - Parts in ArduCopter User Group
"I always break the FPV antennas off when connected straight to the board.  A short pig tail zip tied to the frame for strain relief works well.  But then again, I crash more than most!!!"

Marcus Wright commented on Rob_Lefebvre's blog post Long-Line Sensor Payload Demonstration
"Hey Rob, Good work.  If I had money I'd invest in your venture!!!!  Have you played with head speed any?  Do you think it's worth even considering?"

Marcus Wright commented on Chris Anderson's blog post VTOL plane based on ETH research now coming to market
"There has always been a counter argument for using tailsitters as VTOL, that is the wind.  I think they can take off and transition fine but landing at a 45 deg angle is problematic.  Surely that can be overcome, right? "

Marcus Wright replied to Global_Saffer's discussion Can't trigger my Canon S100 from Pixhawk :/
"If you are following tuffwing's directions exactly it looks like you have the trigger in RC5 and not Aux5 (relay pin 54). "

Marcus Wright replied to Jason Schmidt's discussion Mapping Drone Rookie - triggering the shutter
"I got this cable:  http://www.tuffwing.com/support/pixhawk_camera_trigger_cable.html  and put on Aux3 (relay pin 52)
Make sure you have the CHDK working correctly (not easy):   Setting up card (Method 2):…"

Marcus Wright replied to Rob_Lefebvre's discussion Notification: My Community Support Ending
"Should we start a concerted effort to bring new controllers and their GC's to the forefront?  Seems it would be in our best interest to have some choices in a year or so.  Or do we think PX4 and APM will be with us for the next 5 years?"

Marcus Wright commented on unnamed idea's blog post Preparing Auto Missions Using Python
"I have always thought the lawnmower pattern was inefficient due to all the 90 deg turns.  I hope to see a gain in efficiency using a spiral.  Though I am not sure how efficient a constant turn with be.
Also, I assume the MP auto way point…"
