Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I have done "regular" rc modell stuff for several years and now and I like to broaden my mind. During the years I prefered more and more to fiddle about the design than piloting the planes and vehicles.

Paul Schreiber commented on Jack's blog post Fastest FPV Drone Reach 250mph
"Congrats to the this real mad setup. Love those mad stuff. But I have my doubts, especially the prop speed estimation. Have you measured the real rpm in flight? The sonic wall is serous stuff not easy to overcome, even with such high power. To…"

Paul Schreiber commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Measuring airspeed without an airspeed sensor
"@Jack C., I fully agree that all the certification issue will slow down the implimentation of such an airspeed tool... and probably will recieve lots of criticism.@Andrew R. , the air desity is a good point. But this will be more or less importent…"

Paul Schreiber commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Measuring airspeed without an airspeed sensor
"Hey Curt,
your observation that the aircraft is responding differently to your control inputs, and than the link with this tragic accident is exactly what got me thinking about this years ago. And no matter if its a model or a full scale airplane, a…"

"Just got the hint you are not playing with drone stuff. So please ignore my quess you are using an electrical powered plane."

Paul Schreiber commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Measuring airspeed without an airspeed sensor
"Damned that is f*ckn genious! Honestly, a big applause from me.In terms of safety, redundancy and hardware simplicity this is a quite a step forward. As you speaking from more reasonable input parameter in your "black box" (so cool) I like to propose…"

Paul Schreiber commented on VGR-Systems's blog post Thrust vectoring coaxial Drone Update
"Though you have enlarged the prop diameter I still think the disk loading is pretty high in comparison to an average quad. And that really matters in terms of flight time.
Basically you could double your flight time, if you double the props…"

Paul Schreiber commented on Joe Renteria's blog post Aurora's Lightning Strike Prototype can hover
"When I saw the picture I instantly got that into mind:http://lilium-aviation.com/Regarding the really futuristic looks of it I just want to say: Also this design will have to subdue to basic aerodynamics and physics.A law of propeller design is:…"

Paul Schreiber commented on Thomas J Coyle III's blog post Drone Racing Might Just Be The Next Big Thing
"As a former F5D pylon racer, I am pretty curious about this development. But pylon racing never achieved any noticeable attention though it is some kind of spectacular in my opinion. My prediction is, that it is still too nerdy and it is not enough…"

Paul Schreiber commented on VGR-Systems's blog post New patented tilted coaxial VTOL
"As you agree on my comment, I don´t want to be impolite anymore.Wish you lots of success with your project. And stay open minded on many ideas, not focussing on patents"

Paul Schreiber commented on VGR-Systems's blog post New patented tilted coaxial VTOL
"VGR-Systems,
In terms of flight dynamics it is the same. You have a counter rotating propeller and you shift a weight below the thrust vector. The man is using his arms to shift the weight, you take some servos. His arms doing the commands.
At least…"

Paul Schreiber commented on VGR-Systems's blog post New patented tilted coaxial VTOL
"Nice little project! And nice to see it is flying well. But I think it is not possible to claim for a patent. Here is the exact machine a bit bigger.

Stick to the nice concept but keep your feed on the…"

"afaik hydrogen fuel cells are not really off the shelf. After a few use lots of parts need to be replaced."
