We operate a fixed wing and a quad and have noticed some odd issues with airspeed.
On the X8 fixed wing, the airspeed sensor appears to be showing airspeed on the ground as it jumps around a bit, and used to work well in flight. However recently we ha
I have a roll and tilt camera mount for my quad, using two MKS Micro Size Cyclic Servo DS92A+ fast digital servos. I normally use these on my helicopter cyclic controls, they are normally very smooth and precise.
I made my own scratch built quad copter and it is very stable when flown in stabilised mode. Behaves as anyone would expect. Stays put when you don't touch it and can have a fair turn of speed when flown aggressively.
I was testing a quad that I scratch built. It has been flying in stabilise mode and responded to the radio inputs, but I had never let it go too far away. This morning I loaded arducopter 2.5.3 before going to test the model.
Does the APM 1 & 2 do the crc checking or the apm planner? Probably sounds a stupid question but I am starting to find my way around the telemetry link as we are having lost packets issues http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/xbee-mavlink-missing-data?c
Is this normal to keep getting lost packets? It seems to affect how quickly the APM planner shows up the satellite status and position. I tried HK GCS out of interest and that shows a very poor link quality (around 10%), but shows the position on goo
Having played with a joystick enabled in the APM planner to control the aircraft (arduplane software loaded) in assisted mode, we have noted that when the transmitter used by the safety pilot is switched to
1. Can the video capture facility remember the capture device used and remember the screen res, so it doesn't have to be selected each time, quite a time consuming feature at the moment.
2. Maybe have a button on the main actions tab to turn on/off th
We have noticed that the wind doesn't seem to be calculated in the telemetry received on the APM planner during a mission. Does the APM have to have an airspeed sensor fitted in order for that to be shown?
With reference to item 156: ALT_HOLD_RTL 10000 can someone tell me what units this is in and where do I change this setting using the APM mission planner please? I attached a screen shot of the item in question.
