  • Not easy to see the size on your board, just remember the 2620 is only available in narrow DIP package. On your board it looks like you have a wide DIP footprint.
  • Here is the new, improved and smaller version of my Autopilot. I have replaced the 7408 by 74ls157 MUX. I have also removed max232 as it was taking lot of space. Finally this board contains:

    PIC18F2620 for GPS and navigation.
    PIC16F628A for servo control.
    74LS157 as MUX.
    Rudder, elevator and throttle control.
Switching between auto and manual mode using single receiver channel.
5V regulated power supply for micro, GPS and supply for receiver and servos.
RX/TX pins for serial comm with PC or data telemetry system.

  • Iam planning to design an smd version too of my Autopilot. One more change Iam going to do is to replace the 7408 by 74ls15 mux. I got this idea from jordi's mux. Will post the new design soon. Iam also working on waypoint calculation and navigation code.
  • Yes paul, the 3D image is the output from my layout tool. I am using Proteus Professional PCB design & schematic capture tool.
  • Achal,

Clever 3D software render - Was that output from your layout tool or a separate 3D build? If integrated, what tool do you use?

  • Hi volkan
I have not yet tried this on air, it is still in design stage. Iam also awaiting my EB-85A GPS to come. I do not have any problem with anybody trying to build my design. If build and flown successfully, I will share the design and code with everybody.
  • HI ADRAWAL

Can you tyr this autopilot ond the air ?

can i assembly and try your products ?

  • Can you show us the schematic diagram?
  • This is the Autopilot board I have designed for my UAV project. It consists of PIC18F2620 microcontroller for GPS and navigation & PIC16F628A for servo control.
