"Hi! I would suggest you to use mikroC compiler for PIC18F. Programming in C language is not so difficult. I find it much better and powerfull than BASIC."

"Hi!!
I have almost finished the code for navigation calculations. I am finally working on PIC18F2685. The navigation algorithm uses floating point math which my C compiler supports. I am getting an accuracy of +-1deg for bearing calculation if…"

Hi everyone!I need to write the code for navigation calculations(distance and bearing) for my UAV project. I went through some of the methods like pythagorus & haversine but I am really confused. Can somebody share the code/method which has been…

Achal Agrawal replied to Achal Agrawal's discussion Barometric Altimeter
"Thanks guys for showing your interest. There are two sensors which may fit our application, the freescale MPX series pressure sensors and the VTI's SCP1000. In my opinion SCP1000 is a better choice than MPX. The reason for this is that the MPX…"

Hi everybody! Is there any barometric altimeter based on sensor like MPX4115A available, which can give the altitude data via serial comm. I tried searching but did not came across any. What do you guys think about designing one as an open source…

"This could be done using only one interrupt pin if you can directly feed the PPM signal from the receiver to micro."

Achal Agrawal replied to Jacob Dickinson's discussion Manual Control Problems
"I think the best option would be to use a multiplexer chip like 74LS157. Reading the pulse first and generating it again does not seems to be a good option. The multiplexer can be controlled with only one output pin."

"Here is the new, improved and smaller version of my Autopilot. I have replaced the 7408 by 74ls157 MUX. I have also removed max232 as it was taking lot of space. Finally this board contains:

PIC18F2620 for GPS and navigation.
PIC16F628A for servo…"

"Hi volkan
I have not yet tried this on air, it is still in design stage. Iam also awaiting my EB-85A GPS to come. I do not have any problem with anybody trying to build my design. If build and flown successfully, I will share the design and code…"

Achal Agrawal replied to abhishek's discussion help plz!!!!!
"Hi Abhishek!
Most of the amateur UAV developers are working with Manual Landing and Takeoffs. Autonomous landing requires very high precision GPS(DGPS,WAAS) and altitude sensors. Landing is not just about decreasing height and ultimately touching…"
