OdysseyThis is a unit for a full size plane, but it would be nice if the GCS could look something like that when it's done!! This unit also have a very impressive list of features. Wonder if one can use it as a GCS+AP and have only the sensors with…

"Hi

I am on the East Rand, and fly at Barnstormers. Don't have an Ardupilot, but I am working on my own autopilot for the last 6 months.

I am also using the FMA sensors, they work great.

Regards,"

"Very impressive list of features. Just need auto-landing and you will have a completely autonomous plane at a very good price."

GPS RecieverThe main features of this GPS is that it constantly tracks position, so there is no startup wait. Only 1ma power consumption! Hope that sparkfun will get some of these on breakout boards when they arrive.I wonder what the update rate on…

"How sure are you that the PWM signal output is only 3.3V? I have not tried it, but a cheap V meter might just give the average voltage of the PWM signal."

Hi AllI've been thinking of a few ways to use the FMA co-pilot for the AP I'm building.Do you guys think it will work if I put a digital potentiometer (I2C or SPI) connected as a voltage devider in the line coming from the infrared sensor. The idea…

"Easy, you use a 5Hz refresh rate GPS :), but a combination of both would give better accuracy at the cost of more complex code (and $)."

"Thanks for the heads-up. I always make a point not to support companies that operate like that.
90% of the people here can program, so his "the problem is in the chair" way will not work here as it would with normal end users."

"Not easy to see the size on your board, just remember the 2620 is only available in narrow DIP package. On your board it looks like you have a wide DIP footprint."

I am using an FMA CDP4 co-pilot as part of my autopilot. Trying to figure out which would be the best way to connect it.The way I see it I have 2 options (or a 3rd option, connect the thermopiles directly to my MCU without the CPD4, but I would…

I will also have to change my…"

"Hi Marty
Have a read here: http://www.uavs.net/horizon_sensing_autopilot.pdf on page 6. You set the sensor up so that you move the plate when you want to turn, so in normal flight the plate should always be close to horizontal. When you want to…"
