I dropped the "Beta 4" and changed it to just v1.4 revision 12 = 1.4.12.This version has a bug fix to try and address users with locales using "," (comma) as their decimal points. Please let me know how it works. It also includes Jordi's 48 waypoints fix.Download Here: ConfigTool.zip
version 1.4.8 I trying does not display a map but a couple of buttons instead. Do I miss some required software components(I was previously using Beta 3).
on both version (latest 1.4.3 and official one) every thing works good to store the home position into eeprom but..
when you do a read the Home placemark is not refreshed so you don't know were the reel home is.
after watching to the serial monitor in arduino IDE i realized that home and all the waypoint were good but the home placemark position wasn't refreshed on the map.
could you fix that??, so we check the path by doing a read before the fly.
If you don't check "manual" and do the field config process with the bind plug until you get GPS lock, the home position should be the one you got in the config progress. If this utility is overwriting it, see if Jordi's original config utility (still the official one in the Google code repository) behaves differently.
hi,
i just tried today the new config tool 'cause i received the Ublox today...
everything works fine but the manual set "Home" and blnd plug...
could someone try it for me and tell me if when you put the bind plug without setting manual home ,
write and then read, the home position is going to the right place...
and don't know if i'm clear enaught but it seems that the Home is not write were it should.
+ when i set manual home and the write , then move home on the map and the read i'm not getting the "home " i wrote.
is it normal?
i don't know if it does the same with locosys GPS (can't remember)
New Maps.html uploaded. Please download ConfigTool.zip. It will still show the same version number for the ArduPilotConfigTool and GPSEmulator.... but the farthest waypoint appears in the ConfigTool and the plane to home distance appears in the emulator.
The ArduPilot ground station will display position in real time in Google Earth (no change in the current version), so I don't think there is any GE limitation on that.

If it doesn't show an overhead map of downtown Chicago, you'll need to do some serious version updates to your computer (Java, IE, .NET Service Packs)
I downloaded version 1.4.8 and it fixed my crashing on Read error. Thanks for all your hard work on this. It's a great tool.

thank you all (including Chris)
home is not the one i should have when i remove the bind plug. (config process)
i'll give a try to the official config utility to see if that works better
if so, Happykillmore will have some more work, i fear...
