I stumbled upon this... um... interesting video on Youtube. Amazingly over 500,000 people have already watched it. I think for the most part it's just some guys having fun with guns. But it's another interesting insight into the growing fearmongering about domestic drones.
The statement that "The first person to shoot down a drone will be folk hero" is probably quite true I think.

This was a paid shoot for a television show so don't read too much into it. They're just out to make a buck on whatever people are willing to watch and it's working. Based on the YouTube views alone they've made more than $1,600 back and I'm sure they've received a lot more than that through other media outlets.
What you see in the video represents a very small but highly visible fraction of gun owners in America. Most gun owners are responsible and sensible individuals. Also not everything with drones in it merits our attention. If this kind of stuff is around and discussed it would be nice to at least get some usefulness from it rather than just mocking each other's differences and opinions. For example, tell your representatives and politicians how you feel about drones and potential bans. Especially if you live in Texas where this guy wants to ban drones.
@johnkowalski, I never said we should ban guns, read my post again. Unfortunately drones don't have a 2nd amendment, since ours are not weapons. You think I am being rediculas? I don't make this stuff up. Look here & here & here & here. Now tell me I am overreacting.
Thats why I make mine out of Kevlar.
thats sad
I am just making a point - they are doing what they like doing safely and don't harm anyone in the process but you ppl have to jump on the bandwagon and write stuff like 'ohh that's stupid and insane', what's next?? 'let's ban guns' and 'who needs an AR15??
and then you bia### that they might ban drones and how ridiculous ppl are
lol you're no better than them - so yeah think about it for a second
@ johnkowalsk, Want to talk about hypocrisy? A lot of states are pushing legislation to ban drones or even rc aircraft with cameras. They attribute scifi like abilities, like they can hover silently over your house for days and can see thru walls and record every sound in your house. Who sounds insane? They want to ban ownership of drones because they could be used to spy through you daughters bedroom window. They could take a picture of your back yard ect. This is all ready illegal. Well I say what could you do with an AR15 and 30 round clip. I am a supporter of the second amendment, but don't you see the screaming hypocrisy of the drone grabbers? By their logic the cops would still be riding horses and wouldn't be allowed to have weapons.
@exporulez
guess what - you and your hobby looks stupid and insane to some people DUH!... your hypocrisy amazes me
These people look stupid and insane :(
"Guess some people just don't have anything better to do with $300. "
They spent much more than on ammo. Those larger MG's are not cheap to feed.
