  • I'm a starter for Tuesday.

Regards collecting MO - I'm coming in from Heidelberg. Google has told me that this is the route - so not far out of the way to get to St Kilda Rd.    Anyone else going past closer?

    Hi Everyone,

So it turns out that I most likely have to go away on Wednesday and Thursday this week for other business. Michael Oborne is in Melbourne from tomorrow until Thursday and it's a great opportunity to organise a meeting with him (for those of you who don't know him, he's the man behind the APM Mission Planner). I know it's short notice but I think its best that we do something at our factory in Yarraville this Tuesday evening from about 5:30pm. Does that suit everyone?

@Michael O - Are you still keen to meet-up? Can you make that time?

@Everyone - Everyone is welcome to come and see our factory. We have a few cool machines (3D Printer, Vacuum forming and small router) as well as a bunch of mess (we do general engineering as well) and a few top secret products on the go (which we might have to hide).

I would like to know how many people are coming??? and it would be good if everyone could wear appropriate clothing (mainly closed toe shoes).

Our factory is located at 175 Stephen Street, Yarraville (there's a "Bask" sign above the door).

Our "test facility" (local park) is also quite close and can be used if people want to do some laps of the sky?

For anyone new to the whole flying game, it's also an opportunity to ask us and your fellow DIYers questions you might have. Edris and I will brush up on our understanding of APM Autonomy so that we can better answer questions related to that (our next major flying meetup is scheduled to be an autonomy fun day - See the discussion above).

I think thats it really? If you have any questions you can always contact me at d.skinner@baskindustries.com or on my mobile 0412 492 340.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night. (Please let me know if you're coming)

    Cheers, David

Hey all, i've just created a discussion board for our locations - just thought it would make it easier to have it in one spot rather than threaded through the comments page. (:

@ Mat B, Tom B and Ivan V, welcome to the group (and welcome from lurking Ivan (;).  Details on the next meet will be up tomorrow - but the it's 10am, 10 February 2013 at Deakin Uni (and thanks to Tim for offering the location).

  • is there something in the water in Richmond??

  • - Mike = Are you going to have access to transport?

The Bask guys are just over the Westgate bridge on the western side. Suspect car / taxi is the only way.
I can't do Monday but clear for remainder of the week.

    - and our cabin is in Briar Hill - we consider it more Eltham than Greensborough. Day job has me in Heidelberg.

    G'day Ivan!

  • Hi folks. I've just joined the group after seeing the vid posted the other day.

My successful quad flights are still in single digits for now but have been great fun in the process.

I'm keen for meetups, I'm out in Doreen and work in Richmod

    Cheers,

    Mat

  • Hi everyone. Just new to this group - and what a find! Can't believe i missed it. Just starting out in this Hobby and would love to catch up discuss builds, projects etc...

When , where, is the next meetup planned?

I'm currently building my first Quad - KK2.0 board - but will most likely upgrade to APM 2.5 for autonomous flight once I get the hang of things.

Work in Richmond, Live in Preston.

    Cheers Tom
